MONTRÉAL MONOCHROME IV: STUDY HALL proposes an investigation into the intersection of art and pedagogy with an anti-colonial inflection. It offers a framework to explore how artistic modes of production can challenge conventional systems of education. From April 29th to May 27th, LA CENTRALE galerie Powerhouse will welcome the artist duo Boudry/Lorenz who will present a video adaptation of of To Valerie Solanas and Marilyn Monroe in Recognition of their Desperation, a piece which the composer Pauline Oliveros wrote in 1970 after reading the text SCUM Manifesto by Valerie Solanas (who is also known for shooting Andy Warhol). 29.04.2016
