Never on the Same Page with Dad – Clare Gemima

JANUARY 10, 2020

Clare Gemima is a former New Zealand based practitioner who now works and resides in New York City.
Negotiating methodologies that consider dimensionality and design, while playing with online and offline conflicts, she is intrigued by how the internet and overt screen use can condition pivotal moments for us in real life. Sound, moving image and large scale installation are used as tools to immerse and confront viewers through the creation of existential and observational visual experiments, both in private and public spaces. Gemima also illustrates, collages and manipulates digital imagery in her 2D work, finding herself drawn to an ever changing use of medium in her practice.

Clare’s work can be found on her website or her Instagram.
